Meet Millie
A lifelong passion for horses, their wellbeing and their potential.
Hi, I’m Millie, the founder of Pony Posture.
My love for horses began at the age of six when I first started riding at my local riding school. What started as a childhood passion gradually developed into a career dedicated to understanding horses, supporting their wellbeing and helping them feel their best.
After experiencing first-hand the difference rehabilitation could make to a horse I’d been caring for, I knew I wanted to pursue a career where I could make that difference for others. In 2021, I began my journey towards becoming an equine sports therapist, graduating from Writtle University College in 2024 with a BSc in Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.
Today, alongside my part-time work with HRB, I run Pony Posture, working with horses across a variety of disciplines, ages and stages of life. My experience includes working with FEI show jumpers competing at an international level, as well as young horses, leisure horses and much-loved retired companions.
Every horse has different demands placed on their body, and I believe their care should reflect that. My approach considers the horse as a whole, taking into account posture, movement, muscular function, workload and individual circumstances to help guide appropriate care.
More Than My Career
Outside of my work, one of my biggest passions is my own horse, Trooper.
Together, we’re working towards our eventing goals and developing as a partnership. From the training and preparation to the challenges and achievements along the way, my own journey as a rider continues to shape my understanding of what it means to care for a horse.
Being both a therapist and a horse owner gives me an appreciation for the dedication that goes into helping horses feel and perform at their best. I understand that behind every horse is an owner with their own hopes, ambitions and concerns.
My Approach
I believe that every horse deserves individualised care, regardless of their age, workload or competitive level.
Whether I’m supporting a competition horse through the demands of its season, helping an owner understand their horse’s physical needs or working with an older horse whose comfort is the priority, my aim is always to provide thoughtful, horse-centred care.
At Pony Posture, it’s not simply about how a horse performs. It’s about understanding the individual behind the performance and supporting their wellbeing throughout their life.
Where posture meets performance, because every horse deserves to feel their best, whatever their stage of life. 🤍
